The challenge

Your work speaks for you. But does your communication?

You can be excellent at what you do & still be overlooked when you struggle to get your ideas across.

Outside

What others see

  • Your idea only gets traction when someone else repeats it, more confidently.
  • Senior stakeholders direct their questions to a colleague instead of you.
  • The promotion goes to someone less capable but more convincing.
  • Your feedback mentions “presence” or “visibility”, never what you actually know.

Inside

What it feels like

  • You prepare for hours & still lose your words when a director looks at you.
  • You stay quiet in meetings rather than risk saying it badly.
  • You replay the conversation on the way home: “I should have said…”
  • You start to wonder whether the problem is you.

This isn't a competence problem. It's a preparation problem, & it can be fixed.

What you'll walk away with

Practical skills you can use in your next meeting.

01

Clarity

Make your point in one go, without overexplaining, so people get it the first time & you stop losing the room halfway through.

02

Structure

Organise your thoughts before you speak, even under pressure, so your answers sound considered & senior people trust your judgement.

03

Simplicity

Explain complex ideas in language decision-makers understand, so they act on your expertise instead of nodding politely.

04

Composure

Respond with confidence when you’re put on the spot, so the hard question becomes your chance to show what you know.

05

Influence

Get your ideas understood, valued & acted on, so they’re credited to you, not repeated by someone louder.

06

Presence

Communicate in a way that matches your ability & ambition, so you’re seen as ready for the next level before you ask for it.

Meet your hosts: Frederick & Gordon

Frederick Afrifa & Gordon K. Williams

Frederick arrived in London unable to speak English. Gordon couldn’t speak until he was four. Neither was a natural communicator; both had to build it.
Frederick went from representing Italy in athletics to pitching on The Apprentice, where Lord Sugar rated his pitch one of the strongest in the show’s history, & now speaks internationally.
Gordon went from redundancy to JP Morgan, learned to command senior meetings & was promoted within two years for his leadership presence.
Together they founded Leadership Communication Group to help professionals master the moments that define careers, because they’ve been in those rooms themselves.

Questions

Straight answers

Is this in person or online?

In person only, in London. No livestream & no replay. The practice only works in the room.

I'm not a natural speaker. Is this for me?

Yes. That's exactly who it's built for. You'll practise, but nobody is dragged on stage. You'll work at a pace that stretches you without exposing you.

What if I can't stay for the whole afternoon?

Stay if you can — the last hour is where it comes together. If you have to leave early, leave quietly & you'll still take the core tools with you.

Will there be networking?

Yes. Tea, coffee & a room full of professionals who take this seriously. Some of the best conversations happen after the last exercise.

How many seats are available?

It's an in-person room, so seats are limited. The £1 reservation means every seat goes to someone who's actually coming.

What should I bring?

Just yourself & a pen. We provide the workbook, the structure & the feedback.

Your next opportunity may depend on how you communicate.

Make your ideas clearer. Speak with greater confidence. Give people a reason to recognise your potential.
